When confronted with an attack, that is the best way to handle it - changing your negative attitude to a positive one. I know that sounds simplistic, but it’s true. Howerer, that doesn’t mean it’s easy, at least not on your own. Fortunately, there are proven methods that do make it easy to shift out of the panic mode. More on those in a moment.

Sometimes, self-hypnosis is also used to relax a person experiencing a panic attack.

Find the Panic Attack Trigger

When you are trying to get panic attack relief, try to find the cause behind your attacks. Sometimes, it is as obvious as a phobia attack, for example: claustrophobia. Other times, you have to find out a similar pattern between the different situations that you were in whenever you suffered from a panic attack. These are probably situations when you feel threatened. Once you do know the cause, you can change your behavior accordingly or learn to combat your fear of the situation, maybe with the help of somebody you trust and somebody who can give you the confidence you need. Eat Properly

In addition to changing your perception or your behavior, you also need to watch your diet. Certain types of foods may trigger panic attacks. You may notice some particular foods that bother you, so obviously avoid them. Just about everybody needs to be careful with caffeine and simple sugars. These can disrupt your metabolism in such a way that they predispose you to panic attacks.

Get Enough Sleep


Apart from this, you also need to get proper sleep everyday. If you get the proper amount of sleep, it allows your body to rest and your mind stays calm. Then, if you face a panic attack, then you are more prepared to fight it and overcome it; rather than succumb to it.
