Driving Fear Program Review
I'm writing this Driving Fear Program
Review because fear of driving and even panic attacks while driving are relatively common. Someone who has
never experienced a panic attack can imagine how debilitating this can be. In a culture like ours where we use
our cars to do almost everything, being afraid to drive limits one's life dramatically.
This form of fear and panic has many variations.
Some people are afraid of driving in general. Others are afraid of specific situations, such as
tunnels or bridges or highways. Some people in this situation will go miles out of their way to avoid a little
overpass.
The type of fear response varies as well. Some people who have had a full-blown panic attack
while driving so dread having another one that they avoid driving altogether.
Others experience a more global fear every time they get near a car.
Whatever your situation, if you have fear of driving you know how much it limits your life.
That’s why I was so glad to discover a program designed specifically for people with fear of
driving gory history of panic attacks in a car. The program is called (perhaps not very creatively) the Driving
Fear Program.
It’s not perfect, but I found it to be a very solid course that I believe will be a blessing to
a lot of people suffering from fear of driving.
Driving Fear Program
The core of the system is the Driving Fear Program Manual. This manual does a good job of
outlining the physiology of fear and panic. It then goes into the treatment program.
In my opinion, the author focuses a little too heavily on the psychology of conditioning, but my
concern may be due to a bias I have against some of the therapies that have been inspired by operant conditioning
in the past (this program is not one of them).
In addition to the written manual, the course includes a recorded version. I really like this
myself since I often find I get more out of a training when I both hear it and read it.
Supplemental parts to the core system include a subliminal recording and another recording
designed to help people deal rapidly with specific fears, such as fear of driving on bridges or being in
traffic.
I’m not sure how effective subliminal messages are, but they don’t hurt. It’s a nice
addition.
I’m more impressed with the specific fears recording. I found it to be right on target.
In addition to all that, the course, at least when I got it, came with a bonuses that really
support the main program.
One is a book entitled Change Your Mind, Change Your Life. This book is an interesting
read and a good bonus. (BTW - if you like this, check out The Mind and Brain. I think the author is
Jeffrey Schwartz. You can find it on Amazon. )
There are also bonuses to help you use meditation and the law of attraction to get rid of your
fear. These aren't crucial, but they are nice additions.
One bonus that impressed me was a recording of a series of interviews with various experts in
the field of panic and anxiety and it’s treatment. Fascinating stuff - or at least it was to me.
All in all, this is a very complete system that I think would help most people overcome their
fear of driving or of having a panic attack while in the car.
How Effective Is a Driving Fear Program?
On his web page and blog, the author has a lot of testimonials from satisfied users, and he
claims a 96%+ success rate. I tend to be skeptical of such claims but looking over the program, that success rate
may well be true, at least for those who follow the instructions and apply what they learn.
This is not a program that claims you can just listen to a recording every day and have your
fear disappear. It doesn't work like that. It does take some effort, but it is eminently doable.
In sum, if you suffer from panic attacks or anxiety while driving I recommend giving this
program a test drive.
Keep in mind that I only recommend the programs that offer a strong, no-questions-asked
guarantee. The Driving Fear Program has such a guarantee, so there really is no reason not to see the works for
you.
Imagine how great it would be to get in the car and go wherever you want without any fear
whatsoever. I hope this information helps you get there.
